A Portuguese moment…

…just one of the foodie moments from Lisbon… I remember it was so hot that day so we just stopped at a random bar to drink something refreshing and ended up with a bifana sandwich that costed just a couple of euros with a drink and became one of the best things I ate in Lisbon. Oh the nostalgia of that hot summer afternoon, beers and bifana, guys watching a game, girl chatting and the waiter being so nice trying to do everything to make us feel comfortable…

Bifana, a traditional, most simple Portuguese sandwich made from a beautiful bun and the most tender and juicy pork escalope cooked in wine, garlic and spices… A bit of mustard with it and… heaven! Sometimes it’s the most simple things that make an explosion of taste, especially when you don’t  expect it!
